Metroid Enemies
Metroids feed on the "life energy" of their prey in a manner similar to the way a leech drains a host organism's blood, however they leave all of the prey's blood and internal organs intact, feeding just off of their life source.
Fission Metroids are Phazon-mutated Metroids with the ability to split into two forms. Like all Metroids, they are energy-based lifeforms with a translucent upper body.
Space Pirates have been present since the early days of the Galactic Federation. They quickly established themselves as a fearsome force, necessiating the formation of the Galactic Federation Police. The Pirates were notorious for attacking and raiding vessels in one second, and disappearing the next.
Aerotroopers would be assigned the most dangerous missions, and would rather die than be captured. They used jetpacks, and could be set on fire using the Light Beam in Echoes.
